Champagne Roger Barnier is a true grower Champagne house as they carry the Recoltant Manipulant designation. Frederic Berthelot is the third generation of his family to make wines from their plots of vines in the village of Villevenard, which is about 30 minutes southwest of Epernay. The Barnier vineyards are planted primarily to Chardonnay with a healthy amount of Muenier and a lesser amount of Noir. Their wines are exceptional. While only just arrived in the USA in December 2018, they have a rapidly growing fan base.
